About Us | Experience based advice for living life

Hello! I am an author & founder of In Touch Self Improvement Methods.
Because awareness is a gift we often lose touch with in life, I believe implementing positive thinking and an understanding of energy into our everyday lives leads to keeping In Touch with our true selves. To do so we must take an intuitive look at life and really ThinkItOut.
Through my lifelong love of horses and writing, I connect two powerful tools to help people improve their lives: books and horses. I host positive energy clinics (for groups and one-on-one) inviting people of all ages and walks of life to get In Touch with Horses.
Not just for horse people, In Touch clinics provide enlightening insight into positive and negative human behavior and energy patterns; horses just happen to be the perfect medium for reflecting our energy. These clinics are not horse training, they are people training: the horses are the teachers. In Touch clinics focus on a variety of topics dealing with issues of personal space, respect, permissions, communication, understanding, awareness, and much more.
Building on these natural intuitive energy fields, I transition from learning through horses to dealing with human interaction in my current series of books, "Get Your Self Straight", and a no-nonsense "...Or Not" greeting card line. Both offer self improvement in its simplest form: black and white.
I also created and developed a Holistic Living Resource here (at ThinkItOut.net) which offers these and more products and services along with a place to connect, and a wealth of free information, ideas, and suggestions on attaining happiness and understanding in life.Whether you prefer a hands-on learning experience or a good book, these discovery tools will help you ThinkItOut and get you In Touch with a happier, healthier life.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, I chose to write under the pen name J.D. Rhodes as a reminder to myself to never get caught up in material worries again. J.D. stands for "Just Dusty" Rhodes. I came up with this in honor and remembrance of my maternal grandfather, Elmer "Dusty" Rhodes. He was a man who made an impression with his very being. He believed that if something needed to be done, you should just do it. He did not believe in procrastination or excuses. Anymore ... Neither do I. ~Becky~
I met my come uppance or wake up call many years ago, and have been overinvolved in bettering myself for a lot of years. Not listening to my body wreaked havoc on my life. I finally figured out that I had to go within, and learn the language it was speaking. That is where all my wisdom lies. I heard the messages loud and clear about finding my true self, making significant changes, learning to deal with whatever self shows up each day, and figuring out how to accept that self, too. But I don't like to write, so my way of sharing comes in different forms. Laughter is my favorite. It gets me through just about any curve the world throws at me. ~Heidi
