Sneak Peek into Awareness ...

Awareness ...

"A lot of people might think they’ve got this one in the bag, but hang on. They think they’re aware of what’s going on around them and around the world. They watch the news, they overhear conversations, they make simple deductions from things they see first or secondhand … We all know a whole lot about what’s going on all over the world, but it’s all presented to us from someone else’s point of view. And how many people do you know personally who infallibly share your point of view on everything? So, why do so many people think it’s okay to take all that secondhand information at face value and start arguing their take on situations they really know nothing about? Because it’s easier to take on someone else’s problems than it is to take on our own."

Sneak Peek into Balance ...

"I hear this one all the time, 'keep it simple.'”

Balance

What does simple mean? It means: straightforward, trouble-free, undemanding, effortless.

That’s how I want my life.

Sounds smart and easy enough, yet I, and millions of others, are incapable of carrying it out on a regular, consistent basis. Every five minutes or so we find ourselves lost in the deluge of details that the world is seemingly throwing at us. We can’t keep it simple because the world isn’t simple.

Stop and think about what world. Our human world, right? And? … Humans are the only living entities who clutter up their world with details.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve deduced that it’s in our heads. We’ve been trained to follow the rules, the protocol, the acceptable norm, the standardized solution, formula, format, … in other words, unless we’re lucky enough to get paid for new ideas, our simplicity - our natural creativity - is effectively snuffed out of us (usually at an early age), and doesn’t often come back. It’s not okay to be different. It’s not. Or is it?"

Sneak Peek into Choices ...

Choices

"Be honest and think about it. You decide to take a shortcut and wind up with your nose buried in trouble … whether you’re in your car, take a wrong turn and end up in the ditch; you’re avoiding your spouse, miss a call for help, and wind up guilty of not being there; or you try to short-circuit the proper protocol at work and get censured, demoted, or fired, it doesn’t matter the circumstances. There are no excuses, you made the choice that put you where you’re at."

Sneak Peek into Ego ...

Ego

"Really, how often have you successfully changed the person’s mind with whom you were feverishly arguing. Married couples can really clue in. Did you really change their mind or was it a stalemate? Or, worse yet, did one party simply browbeat the other party into submission and the second party let themselves be browbeaten just so the first party would shut up?"

Sneak Peek into All Things...

All Things...

"Now, you have to admit life would be pretty pointless and boring if we had figured it out, so why in the world do we keep trying? Because we’re stubborn, and we’re not the brightest stars on the map. Seems to me, most of the human race blows off the “turn right, here” sign each and almost every time it comes up.

Granted, how could we see it these days with coffee and the steering wheel in one hand , the cell phone and the stick shift in the other, changing the radio station, changing lanes, cursing the driver in front of us for going too slow, the one behind us for riding our bumper, and the rest of the world for not giving us a sure sign of what we’re supposed to be doing."

Now that you've gotten Your Self Straight and stopped those frustrating cycles, learn how to stop others from reeling you back in and sabotaging your energy.

You know you're on the right track, but there are people in your life that don't want you to move forward.  They want you stay in those endless continuing cycles that go nowhere causing nothing but anger, frustration, fear, futility, despair.  How do you move ahead and still function in and around those old energy ways?  Is it frustrating to talk to certain people because of all the subtle innuendos? What’s honest feeling, what’s manipulation?

Straightforward, honest communication is hard to come by. Too often, talk is steeped in incongruencies: political correctness, projections, insinuation.  Do the words “codependence” and “enmeshment” ring a bell for you?  Even overprotectiveness and avoiding insult cause major problems; sometimes it comes from others, sometimes it’s coming from our own mouths.

In The Book of Communication, you’ll discover your thread to open, honest communication - without guilt - and then recognize how to apply it to every relationship in your life. Conflict resolution, relationship issues, self-reflection, raising children with insight; all of this becomes easily understandable and nearly stress free with clear, honest perspectives and open communication.

It comes down to the fact that you are responsible for your own happiness, and only you can make yourself feel guilt.

Sneak Peek into The Book of Communication...(eBook)

The Book of Communication

"I’m sure you’ve noticed that the toughest hurdle to overcome in life is not just one lowly hurdle. It’s a bunch of hurdles stacked up together, right?  It’s life; an ongoing challenge of experience, discipline, responsibility, choices, balance, and awareness.  It is continually striving to find and maintain happiness.

That is life.  And these days, in order to accomplish this within the human race, we have to communicate.  Trouble is we more often miscommunicate.

It used to be about survival.  Very simple.  Either you gathered food and water, kept warm, and avoided being eaten … or you didn’t.  Not so anymore.  We have managed to make it a little more complicated than that.

Mother nature meant for us to strive for something more than a new cell phone.  She meant for us to be patient and await the roses through the rigors of winter so that, when we can smell them, it is truly an earned and worthwhile achievement...."

Reader's comments:

"The first step was to read then re-read her books. The books were not bombastic, great, new "this is the only way" dissertations which turn me off; but instead short, to the point, gentle reminders of common sense, everyday approaches to learning about ourselves and our interactions with others.

They were easy reading because a lot of what she was saying in them were simply reminders of things that we all know at one time, but tend to put on the back burner under the pressures of our everyday lives. All of us definitely need to be reminded of them, and be able to refer back to them every now and then when things seem to be breaking down in our lives and/or our relationships to others. (The whole world doesn't change just because you do.)" GWR

Everyone's heard that actions speak louder than words ...

So why do so many people not take action in order to change what is not making them happy or successful? Why do so many people look to others to make a difference for them in their lives?  Why is it that so many people cannot figure out why this world is seemingly crumbling around them?
