Communication | Awareness in Human Interaction
Sometimes I let my kids swear.
They are 8 and 10 right now. I don't know, it just seems fair. I've never agreed with double standards, and I've yet to stop swearing (myself) when the situation warrants. So, sometimes I let them swear, too. At the very least, it always lightens the mood.
Did you just open your eyes wide and get all offended? Did you purse your lips and tell yourself what you're supposed to think about such blasphemy? Or did you, perhaps, bust up laughing and shake your head in the affirmative with a smirk on your face? Hello, door number 3! People everywhere: Welcome to the new age of awareness and communication in human interaction! What's that all about? Well, I can tell you my attitude and opinion on it.
We've done it before and here we go again; whether we're aware of it or not. Secrets and prophecies and teachings about awareness, they're all gaining fans right now. Why? Because we are moving into a new age of awareness, and a lot of smart people want to prepare. It's an age of honest awareness, upfront awareness, congruent awareness; matter-of-fact, no b.s. communication awareness.
Don't believe it? That's okay, and that's your prerogative. Maybe you are one missing some communication and human interaction. That's your choice. But lots of other people believe it. Lots of other people are tired of the falsities, the lies, the unmatched actions vs. emotions in their communication and human interaction. The frustrating, blaming, ridiculous red tape business of "he said, she said, but nobody said it to my face ...." That age of missed communication is coming to an end. If you're ready for change you're not alone and, altogether ready or not, we are making a change into this new age of communication awareness and positive human interaction.
One of my favorite things to say when I was a young adult was, "If you see the light, shut your eyes!" What I learned from holding that attitude has been priceless: Every transition in life and human interaction can be made harder or easier but, you better believe, it cannot be avoided.
Are you upping your awareness, or are you shutting out the light? It's all in the attitude you show toward communication and human interaction.
Be grounded like a mountain, but flow like a river.
