Straight Truths:
- stay in the moment, not the past or future
- write down your reasons for the decisions that got you where you are
- the answers to your troubles lie within you, no one else
- keep your priorities straight and true
- honesty is the best policy and it's harder to forget than a deception
- change is good: it brings about new experiences, knowledge, and personal satisfaction
- action is constructive; dwelling is destructive
- ask outright: don't project your own scenarios, feelings, or fears onto others
- let life play itself out, not your mind
- do in moderation: work, play, give, take. It'll keep you in balance. You won't get too run down, nor too hyped up.
- the tighter you hold on, the more likely you're going to lose what you're holding onto
Reverse Psychology (consider that some people actually live this way ...)
- If at first you don't succeed, don't try again
- Just dwell on it, that'll fix everything
- If you're not happy, find someone else to blame
- Live life in your mind, it'll be a very fulfilling ride
- Goals just get in the way
- Good things come instantaneously
- Patience is a waste of time
